Welcome to my blog. I am doing my best to serve the God and Jesus Christ by giving out the teaching they have given me. er@arianismtoday.com

What is the Trinity? Arianism Today

First I would like to begin by delving into what the Trinity is considered by most Christians.  So I will be looking at the definition of the Trinity as it is in Wikipedia.

The Christian doctrine of the Trinity defines God as three divine persons or hypostases:[1] the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. The three persons are distinct, yet are one “substance, essence or nature”.[2] A nature is what one is, while a person is who one is.[3][4][5]

The Trinity is considered to be a mystery of Christian faith.[6] According to this doctrine, there is only one God in three persons. Each person is God, whole and entire. They are distinct from one another in their relations of origin: as the Fourth Lateran Council declared, “it is the Father who generates, the Son who is begotten, and the Holy Spirit who proceeds”. While distinct in their relations with one another, they are one in all else. The whole work of creation and grace is a single operation common to all three divine persons, who at the same time operate according to their unique properties, so that all things are from the Father, through the Son and in the Holy Spirit.[6] The three persons are co-equal, co-eternal and consubstantial.

Trinitarianism (one deity in three persons) contrasts with nontrinitarian positions which include Binitarianism (one deity in two persons, or two deities), Unitarianism (one deity in one person, analogous to Jewish interpretation of the Shema and Muslim belief in Tawhid), Oneness Pentecostalism or Modalism (one deity manifested in three separate aspects), and social trinitarianism (three persons united by mutual love and accord).[i]

So what we have here is the basic doctrine of the Trinity.  The doctrine is that God the Father is God, Jesus is also God and the Spirit of God as another God and are all in essence one being.  These are only three aspects of that one being which would be Yahweh.  Ever since I have been a Christian I was taught this doctrine.  And I never fully understood how the Trinity was three and one at the same time.  One person explained it to me as water, water has three forms one is a gas, one is a liquid, and one is a solid. Although I do still understand that water can be three properties, I do not think that this analogy applies to the relationship between God the Father and Jesus Christ.  Although it is a great analogy, being able to use an analogy does not necessarily mean that the analogy being app lied to what your doctrine means it is being applied correctly.  The Bible defines itself, and should be the only resource used to develop doctrine. Outside analogies, the length of theologies, or the number of those who agree on a subject does not make it fact. As an example let’s say there are a large number of people who believe that homosexuality is an acceptable lifestyle before God. If that number where the majority would that make it biblical truth? I think we would all agree that it would not since the Bible clearly condemns such practices. I believe that the Trinitarian doctrine came from an honest attempt at understanding the Bible. And I also understand that someone had to answer questions that they had no answers for. And the relationship between God and Jesus is certainly a complicated issue. But I do believe that the answer to those questions is not the Trinity. So in this book I’m going to relate to you views of the early church fathers. The connection between the Trinitarian doctrine and Gnosticism. Who Jesus is in relation to God the Father. What his role is on earth and in heaven. Where in the Bible Jesus was created in the Old Testament. Explaining why Jesus is worshiped in Revelation. And finally I will cite the strongest Scriptures supporting the Trinity and prove my position with them.

I would like to make a statement about the other faiths. Particularly because the Muslim faith, which uses the doctrine of the Trinity and its incompatibility with the Bible as a means of prying Christians away from the faith in Jesus and into Muslim faith. (Through  deceptive practices.) I would like to state here emphatically that any faith that denies Jesus as the only way to God is a demonic doctrine. I do not approve of the use of this book in such a manner. All faiths that deny that Jesus is the only way to a redeemed relationship with God through his blood as a sacrifice for sin, is false and should not be listened to. This book can be used to discredit and untie the lies of deception created by the author of lies who tries to draw away the children of God from our Father.

I will do my best to make this as easy as possible to understand. At certain points we will briefly examine words in the Greek. Hopefully these parts will not be difficult to understand. The desire in my heart is present to you raw biblical truth. Because it would be a crime for me to not share the truth God has given me concerning the Trinity. These concepts will not be easy to swallow, because what is at issue is part of our foundational understanding of Jesus. But I feel that unless we understand clearly, we cannot move on to deeper and greater relationship
